About Mina Scissors

Mina Scissors is a professional hair shear brand headquartered in Ginza, Tokyo. We design, finish, and dispatch every pair ourselves — shipped worldwide from our office in Japan.

What We Do

We make hair cutting and thinning shears for professional use. Our lineup covers everything from entry-level models for students and apprentices to specialist shears for experienced stylists and barbers. Every pair features ergonomic handles designed to reduce fatigue over long hours and Japanese style blades that hold their edge through daily use.

Our Approach

We believe good tools should be accessible without compromising on quality. That’s the idea behind every pair of Mina scissors: professional performance at a price that makes sense for working stylists, not just flagship salons.

The scissors are checked by hand before they leave us. The sharpening service is run by the same team. If you send a pair back for maintenance, you are sending them to the people who made them.

Based in Ginza

Our headquarters is in Ginza, the heart of central Tokyo. From here we work with a network of distributors across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, and we supply working hairdressers and barbers directly through our international shipping service.

We are a regular presence at Tokyo hair industry events, including the Tokyo Hairdressing Design Conference and Japan Scissors Masterclass, where we share the workshop floor with peer brands and meet the professionals who use our tools day to day.

Who We Serve

Mina Scissors are used by:

Whether you are buying your first pair or adding to a kit you have built over years, the range is designed to give you a shear that fits.

Heritage Meets Accessibility

Japan has a long tradition of tool making, and the craft of the professional scissor is part of that story. We draw on it without losing sight of why stylists actually buy a new pair: because they need to cut well, all day, without the tool getting in the way.
